The Marine Conservation Good Beach Guide lists Broadsands Beach, Hollicombe Beach and Preston Sands amongst its top recommended beaches, meaning you can rest assured that these are some of the safest and cleanest beaches for your family to enjoy.

Watersports

Paignton’s beaches are ideal spots to do watersports on the English Riviera. Here you’ll find opportunities for kayaking along the South Devon coast, water skiing, paddle boarding, skim boarding and much more. Plus the rocky coves and secluded pebble beaches are just right for rock pooling and snorkelling. The gentle dips into the sea also mean they’re great for a paddle.

The main beaches have all the amenities you could wish for on a beach holiday in Paignton. Beach huts are available to hire, and there are deckchairs on site too. The bigger beaches have a wide choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby, as well as snack kiosks for that inevitable ice cream craving! You’ll also find shops to purchase buckets and spades, rubber rings and crab nets all within a short stroll.
