Spa & Leisure

When you’re beside the seaside the tendency is to want to enjoy your leisure time in the great outdoors if the weather suits, and still be able to go for a swim even when it’s a bit chilly out – which brings us to the leisure facilities at The Imperial Torquay.

There are indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, squash and tennis courts, a sauna, solarium, and Jacuzzi; as well as a beauty salon, which using Decléor and Jessica products, offers a variety of treatments including aromatherapy, massage, facials, manicures and pedicures.

Hotel & Accommodation

Built in 1866 and having played host to the likes of Edward VII and Napoleon III, the four-star hotel is nestled into the Victorian seaside destination that remains a holiday hotspot on the south coast. The hotel also looks out towards the sea, which provides the dominant characteristic in the majority of the 152 rooms and suites catering to solo travellers and families as well.

The Regatta Restaurant also revolves around views of the bay whilst serving a blend of classic and contemporary fare and offers a children’s buffet during school holidays. Alternatively, the Britannia Bar – nominally continuing the leitmotif of Britain’s maritime history – is open from 10am-2pm daily for drinks, teas, coffees and snacks.
