Well located in the South Hams district, Kingsbridge is perfectly situated for exploring the wider South Devon area. Having been the main market town in the region for centuries, Kingsbridge has become a popular destination for renting holiday cottages due to its location close to the coast, popular attractions and sailing destinations such as Salcombe.

With a range of restaurants and pubs as well as a good selection of shops and two supermarkets, Kingsbridge has plenty to offer visitors. The town is contained in a gorgeous valley with the picturesque Kingsbridge Estuary at the heart. For a beautiful day out, visitors can take a cruise on the River Maid up the estuary to Salcombe where passengers can disembark for a day on the beach or in the famous towns shops, cafes and restaurants.

As Salcombe's more understated inland neighbour, our holiday cottages in Kingsbridge offer travellers a more relaxed and low key getaway whilst being perfectly located for anyone who is after a great choice of places to eat and drink. The town still offers good road access to the many wonderful beaches to be found throughout South Devon at Bantham, Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Torcross and beyond.

For all-weather family fun, head to Woodlands Leisure Park with it's massive indoor softplay areas or check the pool and sports timetables at Quayside Leisure Centre. The town is also home to The Reel Cinema, a three screen cinema, perfect for catching new releases as well as some older classics and indie films.

Year round, the Crabshell Inn enjoys the most prominent waterside location of any of the town's bars or restaurants. Offering delicious stone-baked pizzas amongst other things, the pub is the perfect place to head for a sun-downer or two whilst kids can catch crabs from the estuary walls or join a stand-up paddle session on the estuary itself (tide permitting of course!). Other great places to eat include the highly acclaimed Southern Indian restaurant, Kerala Delacacies, at the top of the town and the enchanting Old Bakery which serves up delicious tapas and great wine.
