That you want to know more about us, what splendid taste you have! Steeped in history, our handsome country house hotel in East Devon dates back to 1755, when it was built as a mansion for a well-to-do Georgian Squire.

Today, we are as proud as punch of this lush green kingdom surrounded by 80 acres of East Devon countryside.. check out our estate map. We have gone full throttle this year, working hard to create one of the finest gardens in the South West. To date, our top notch team of community garden helpers have toiled hard to add:

• A delightful Italian garden, complete with fountain and fresh herbs.
• A fully-functioning kitchen garden - ask for a tour, it's spiffing!
• A romantic swinging seat with stonking views out over countryside.
• Al fresco dining - dine under the trees and try out our brand spanking new Bushman pizza oven - scrumdiddlyumptious!
